Alkermes works to foster a culture of respect, inclusion and equality, and we are grateful to all our employees for doing their part to make Alkermes a place where people can be their true selves. We invite you to meet the co-leaders of Pride@Work, our employee resource group (ERG) for LGBTQ+ employees and allies. Pride@Work seeks to promote practices, policies and benefits that are inclusive for all sexual orientations, gender expressions and characteristics and provides an open forum where employees collaborate, network and engage.
See what our valued co-leads have to say about their involvement with Pride@Work:
Current Pride@Work Co-Leads:
Edward O’Connor, Process Engineer II, is passionate about advancing and promoting LGBTQ+ equality. “As a member of the LGBTQ+ community, co-leading Pride@Work has allowed me to take an active role in ensuring my colleagues at Alkermes feel able to bring their whole selves to work,” said O’Connor. “I am looking forward to working with my fellow co-leads and senior leadership to continue providing information and resources to other Alkermes employees.”
Renick Blosser, Director of Business Operations, recognizes the importance of allies working side-by-side with community members to show support and solidarity. “I was raised to be socially active by my mother and father,” said Blosser. “I strongly believe that everyone deserves to be treated fairly regardless of their identity and am proud to co-lead Pride@Work.”
Emily McHugh, Sr. Product Manager, Marketing, recognizes the importance of feeling able to live authentically. “Everyone, no matter their identity, deserves to feel safe,” said McHugh. “I became a co-lead because I want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of LGBTQ+ people across Alkermes.”
Nora MarinLopez, Associate Director, Quality Assurance, is driven by a deep sense of social responsibility. “I believe everyone has a responsibility to do their part to build a more just and equitable world,” said MarinLopez. “I volunteered to co-lead Pride@Work to help fulfil that responsibility and continue their great work on behalf of the LGBTQ+ community at Alkermes."
Former Pride@Work Co-Lead:
Jane McNeill, Territory Business Manager, brings a history of involvement in Diversity, Inclusion and Belonging (DIB) efforts to Pride@Work and is dedicated to expanding initiatives so everyone at Alkermes feels a part of this important work. “DIB is for everyone,” said McNeill. “My hope and goal are for us to open the umbrella of inclusion so widely that all employees see themselves as part of this community.”
Our co-leads, both current and past, along with those who participate in Alkermes’ DIB efforts, reminds us of the important role that we all can play in helping shape a more inclusive and equitable society for all.
